    key fob re sync

Now before any one has a pop I have read how to resync.....
I have a 2000 model and its meant to passively resyc when i start the car ( how long does it take ? )
the old way of locking door with key and then pressing button works ... just one problem it blanks the other key
both keys will work but not together on key fob one is black and says key 2 and other is grey with no label ...... is this the right way around ... had the car for 6 months now but only just got around to getting the buttons sorted .... arrghhh please tell me im not stuck with one key fob !!!
    PLEASE lol

I read with interest as I've got two key fobs for mine (key 1 and 2) but key 2 will not work for me either.

Hmm,I only have one remote so I cant help much, but it definitely sounds like something the Lee Burgeous from LAB electronics in Mittagong could solve if you sent him fobs and BECM logic board.

Both mine sync using the in door method. Bug you have to do them together from memory. Also mine is a 95 gems. Not sure if this makes a difference. Rupert is another guru for p38 elec.

The 2000 model should definitely sync in the ignition switch when you start the car, but it sounds like your BeCM may have 'forgotten' your fob code. This can happen if you have low battery situation and the BeCM struggles with the voltages. See here for the same situation I had.

Rupert in Sydney is also a guru as DT-P38 says below.
