    Fuel Pump Sender - Help

    Hi guys,
Got into a little bother during replacement of my FuelPump/Sender unit just now. Got tank out and old sender no problems but soon realised that the new new unit I purchased about 12 months ago did not have new olives included!!
Why would anyone sell without them is beyond me, are they so desperate to get another couple of dollars from us or what? At the very least it is poor practice not to advise someone purchasing these that they are not included, so let this be warning to you if you need to replace yours, ask the question " do you supply with new olives for fuel line hoses".

My problem now is that I'm supposed to be heading off with some mates this Friday for the long weekend and I need to get hold of these asap!!

Can anyone recommend somewhere in western suburbs or Melb CBD that may have these in stock?

Hmmmm, I didn't think of that when I ordered mine either, as it says complete unit I (perhaps naïvely) assumed they meant with everything as well. I hope someone can tell you where you can order them from, as I might need to order some too!

You dont need olives on the Thor Unit. There is one electrical plug, one vent hose held on with a spring clip and only one fuel hose. The fuel hose is a niffty fitting, never seen one before. When there is no pressure 2 lugs can bee squeezed in and the hose pulled out of the sender. If there is pressure and you pull it out you will get a face full of unleaded. It just pushes back in and the lugs spread and lock it in
The gems is in question on the other post

    Thanks Dave,
You're right, I managed to get a set from Pat @ British American in Brookly,
he always seems to me out of the ###t! Had a set in nstock fortunately,
so I picked up yesterday and got everything back together last night!
I even managed to do the access flap mod while I had the tank out so if I ever have need to access again I won't need to drop tank (fidly job to reconnect everything when re-instaling)
Anyway all good now and have new pump and fuel gauge that works!
All set to go camping this weekend now.
