What is the relay for? Just a standard electrical relay? You can buy them at places like Jaycar for a few dollars. Up to 30 or 40A from memory.
Hello again, I was having a browse through our local repco the other day and saw what looked like the relays in the range on the shelf. Unfortunately I didn't check the wattage, but does anyone know if you can purchase the green/yellow/black relays in auto shops or if I have to buy online?
Thank you!

heres a bit of help with your search.
Relays
I would make sure anything you buy is either genuine or 80amp. Unless you know why the single black relay is different to the others I would stick with genuine on that one
I am running 40amp relays for the blower fans. I'd rather blow a relay (which I keep spares of) than crack a fuse board!
Hi
I recently replaced all my relays and it was discussed in this thread
Replacing all my relays
I used Hella 3053 for the yellow ones and Narva 68048 for the green ones.
Note the relays MUST be diode protected.
The only problem i encountered was that the Hella 3053 4 pin relays had a built in mounting tab which i had to cut off. The Narva 68048 5 pin changeover relays dropped straight in.
The only genuine one i needed to buy from the UK was the Black ABS relay.
Regards
Steve
thanks for the responses, I did have a search (and came across some of the mentioned threads) but I guess I missed the details in some as the ebay links went to items that were no longer listed due to not being available anymore, some more research has showed me that the yellow relay has been replaced by part number YWB10012L and the green by YWB10031, so I'm looking of rthem now, and I will be looking closer at the Hella ones too.
Karcraft sell the yellow ones for ~$13 and green ~$18. UK suppliers have the same parts for $2.34 and $1.98 respectively! ....![]()

The fuse should blow 1st. I thought that running a higher rated relay would keep things cooler.
As its the fan relays that suffer the most they must have a fair current flow to deal with.
Having a relay with a diode is also important, this stops a power surge when the relay is switched OFF.
