Thread: Height sensors removal

So I'm sensing that I need to be extra careful then

I'm trying to extend my lower sensor arm and need to get it out so I can cut the elbow off the bottom arm and thread the rod for my turnbuckle and rod end. Maybe I'll look into options to thread the rod under the car without taking them out.... Hmm looks a little confined, definitely confined for the traditional method of threading the rod.

Have performed this task several times now and i find if you insert a small flat blaed screwdriver into rubber from the knob end & apply RP7 into it and use screwdriver to assist rubber to climb over knob it can be pulled off quite easily without damaging anything also some more lube when re-attaching helps there too! same goes for middle joint of sensor arms.

Did you take the wheel off to make it easier to access and see? I'm sure I can make up my mind when I get back under the car on the weekend but just thought I'd ask.
