Same here.
I am always telling my mates how good the P38 is, and how inexpensive and reliable it is, and how good the help online is. They all love it, but I say, "I cant recommend you buy one, unless you are willing to have a tinker yourself, or you have a good mate mechanic, or you are willing to pay servicing costs."
It is a shame that there is a caveat to the "Go get yourself a P38" advice
