What is the price $$$?
Guessing by the tire size you have the 7" rims as well. 4 litre model?
I know this has been done to death but. My P38 mainly does inland and not much mud. Tyres on it are Bridestone Duelers brought in Derby and have done 55k on 'em and are 235/70/16. I am looking at BFGoodrich LT245/70/16 T/A KO with a load rating 113.
Does anyone see any problems with these tyres. I know that they had a delaminating problem a few years back but believe this has been fixed.

2 weeks ago, I replaced the Cooper 255/65/16 H/Ts with a set of Dueler D697s (245/70/16) and am quite taken by the softer ride compared with the Coopers. Got them at the local Jax outlet $239 ea fitted and balanced. Looked at the Goodrich equivalents -excellent tyres I gather, but they were almost $70 per tyre more expensive at the timeI 'discovered' that the D697 is actually a light truck construction with an A/T tread..

The bf goodrich at kos are a brilliant tire if you can afford them. The best gravel tire by a fair margin too.
I've done 57, 000km and they're half worn.
The only negative is they tramline a bit, but you expect that with a square treaded tire.
Hi
My beastie came witg Maxis Bravo AT's on it and I am pretty happy with them, they are good on and off the road.
As funny aside, I noticed that the side of the tyre with the big white writing on it is on the inside so it can't be seen, very Range Rover. I bet if they were on a NissYota then the big white letters would be there for all to see
Steve
that's very funny!!when I drove into the tyre place the bloke gave me the "once up and down" looked at the vehicle then with a deadpan expression called to the tyre fitter "****** words on the inside with this one!"
then he just smiled and shook his head...

That's really quite funny Hoges. I got am missed call from the tire dude and when I called him back he said it was to ask if I wanted the white writing on the inside or outside. He said if it was a Jap vehicle he would have waited, but as it was a "shinny pommy thing" he went ahead and fitted them to the inside.
Funny really, when I had my BFG muddies fitted, they did not ask me at all, just fitted them with the writing on the outside. I waited there while they fitted them too!
Apart from BFG's, have a look at Silverstone tyres, they've got a very similar tread pattern but at a much more reasonable price and are equally as good if not better than the Goodrich. If got the Silverstone AT 117 specials & MT117 EX and absolutely swear by them. Silverstone for those that don't know are Malaysian manufactured ( where most of the rubber comes from ) and are owned by Toyo. tyres.
