It'd be good if there was a fabricator close to everyone!

I got a quote on that Kaymar bar on eBay, $145 from Melbourne up to me in Townsville. Not bad considering the weight.

I still want to know who beat me to it...

Yeh the shipping doesn't appear to be as high as I thought it would be. Small in comparison to the cost of the bar. It'll cost me half that to drive to Newcastle for the sliders... But Benji was pretty fanatical in fitting them to the car to make sure they fit 100%. But an existing bar or bar thats been made many times doesn't really need to be checked..

There is a guy Burnco in Cape Town that makes front bars, rear bars with wheel carriers and rock sliders for the P38 and other LR models.

I'm assuming that once shipping, tax, etc are added that the cost will blow out. I'll be e-mailing him to get some costs and will update when I know.

    P38 bars

    I got some prices:
Front bar $912 (based on ZAR10/$ exchange rate)
    Rear bar $912
Wheel carrier for rear bar $460

They will package, but we need to arrange own couriers.

Quite tidy looking front bar. What about the rear? I think this is the one I looked at months ago but they never replied about postage cost so I let it slip.... But still curious

Edit: I have now scrolled up and saw the rear bar. Oops

    Hi

That could work out OK depending upon shipping and fitting of course

Shipping will kill both... Could ship just the bars and have wheel carriers made locally, still wouldn't be cheap!
