This may sound silly, but has caught me out in the past!
You haven't by chance left an old oil filter seal on by accident and put a new filter over the top of it?
Cheers

Had a new leak develope today....from what I can see, its leaking around the area of the oil filter and running down the filter to the ground, its making a nice little puddle in about 20 minutes. Not sure if this has anything to do with this leak but I have been having a flicker oil light on the dash for sometime now, did at least 2 complete oil changge, changed the oil light switch...still there, did an engine flush today and llight is still flicker (when engine is warm and in park). Was planning to pull the oil relief valve and plunger tomorrow but this oil leak now has me worried. Engine sounds and run smooth..no noise or clattter even at start-up
Any ideas.
Mike

I'd be trying to measure the idling oil pressure - perhaps by inserting an oil sandwich adapter plate. It could be the oil pump gears that are worn and don't produce sufficient pressure at low rpm.
Oil filter installs are good, done it several times and double checked everything. Agreed a pressure check might be necessary. What about the oil leak, anybody else leaking around that area?
Perhaps the oil pressure relief is partially stuck open? Could that be a possibility?
Check the seal at the top of the oil pressure switch. Early models were known to leak. It happened to me.
