Thread: 2001 p38 brake light switch

Hi all,
I have a question for the collective. On occasions Hoover is showing a faulty brake light switch, which manifests itself by throwing up a ETC & ABS fault on the dash, Hawkeye says I've got a faulty brake switch.

I bought a new one to replace it and at the moment the dash is apart, but do you think I can see it. The only switch that is visible is one with a vac line attached, is that it or is there another place I should be looking.

All right I found it down in the bowels, but, the original has a shorter shaft than the one I purchased, I thought they were all the same?
