I would have looked for the TSB on my copy of RAVE but I can't get it to run with Windows 7, even when using Compatibility Mode.

I have a number of useful P38A training documents and scanned brochures but I'd probably have bandwidth issues if loaded onto my website.

Yet another update, tried to pick up Loctite 648 today.

Tried Total Tools, Alltools & SKF Bearings all of which stocked a good selection of Loctite products but not 648. Ended up ordering it in at a cost of $54.00 for a 50ml bottle. Wow this stuff is dear as gold!! better be good. This is smallest bottle they do apparently yet most other products avail in 10ml.
Just thought you should know so anyone else can factor this into cost of job!

I guess I could always syringe some out into small bottles & sell it on cause I cant see myself using all of that ever!

Just a side note to this thread guys!

Anyone looking at doing an extended trip with water crossings or frequently doing same should check their bearings.
Reason being, during this project I realised that they are not protected from water ingress from behind wheel hub.
Only thing keeping water out is grease Bad design MR Landrover!
The oil seal on axle merely keeps oil inside axle/diff & as the hub is floating water can & will enter into bearing from behind hub so I packed mine with water resistant grease ( mind you I thought all grease is water resistant ) but some are more so.

    Just a word of Caution!!
