If an XJ fits I'd imagine a P38 on the bumpy's would fit... They are not that much bigger!

I think there both fantastic and that you have the option

    Hi

I find it a little ironic that people replace air suspenion with coils and then .... add air suspension

As far as being fiddly goes I never really touch mine unless i have a shortarse in the car or I am going offroad, it just works as it says on the tin!

Also if you read the thread on shocks, it seemed to be generally agreed that the bilsteins do not provide the smoothest ride.

I suspect that anything on coils is never going to provide the kind of magic carpet ride you get from GenIII's and foamcell shocks

    Hi derpomz,
Like all the others above despite the EAS being a PITA on some occasions I steered away from ones that had been converted to springs, call me a pureist. I like the ride, tows well.
Therapeutically there is nothing more relaxing than a cool beer(s) an o-ring kit and a valve block, and then the sense of satisfaction when it is all working as it should do.
Then you have the off road perspective, the arched roof scenario, low roof car parks and up and over garage doors which are always 25 mm to low.
As others mention if the EAS has been ripped out and you want it, look elsewhere don't try and resurrect a removed system there may have been more of an issue than the air bags, the compressor or the valve block.

I rest my case ! And bilsteins with a coil conversion do ride beautifully just like a Classic
That's what they became world famous for. As for fiddly, I should have said sensitive!

All P38 are awesome in all there guises except on there bumpstops

    Cheers

Air suspension gives you a false sense of Aristocracy as you glide pass others bouncing on their springs
