    Spark plugs

I'm not sure if it is my imagination but I thought I read that there are two types of plugs for our Gems P38's.
The normal shall I call them cheap as usually fitted and a much more expensive youbeauty type of plug.
    Is that correct ?
If that is correct, what's the go with the youbeauty and why ?

Also, is there a recommended brand of injector cleaner additive and is it necessary.

Mate i think you are referring to the standard type of plug which lasts around 20K and the other is the platinum plugs which last 80K or so and cost about 4 times as much.

Some say the platinum plugs give better performance but i'm not totally sure about that

My 95 Camry specified iridium plugs for a petrol engine with a 40-60K life

I thought iridium and platinum plugs were mainly about longer life, but they may well have other benefits.

Can you really tell any difference in performance? Probably not. Longer life, which means you'll get better performance about the time when the standard ones were about to die.

I put a set of iridiums in mine. They're not just for LPG, but petrol too.

I did notice a slight inprovement in performance and fuel economy. Apparently they produce a stronger sharper spark which creates a slightly more complete burn. Lifespan about 90,000km (for the NGK)

I've seen them for $108 plus postage on ebay. Works out to $13.50 per plug, not bad considering they last over 4 x the life of normal plugs.

    Sanshoe.
Do we have a part number for Iridiums to suit 4.6 or in my case 5.0.
