Yeh, I admit your temp guage still has me stumped.
It's got a new dash temp sensor, the connection is good ontop of the sensor, there's perfect continuity to c106 under the header tank, and then onto c114 on the becm.
The nanocom can drive the temp guage to cold/warm/hot which is does through the becm so the woring there is good.
When driving the guage with the nanocom its steady so that probably says the guage itself (and the AD convertor in the dash is okay)...
When the car is on at 90c engine temp the guage sits just above half, but when the defrost program button is pushed on the hevac it goes up to hot, and dances around.
The hevac and instrument cluster have different earths and fuse sources.
The po has put a European hevac in with heated seats and front windscreen, but i couldn't see how that should make a difference.
Great to meet up!
