So i think it’s time to preventively replace it, what’s the hotness currently which will not need replacing in 6 months time?

I went through three water pumps on my P38A. Two failed with collapsed bearings. I don't recall the brand.

What’s the water pump to get, would like to avoid replacing it in the next 5 years, current one done over 200k and I think I should replace it before it fails, if I can get another 200.000km out of a water pump it would be amazing I guess

I bought an Airtex from the UK, with the brass impeller, and it seemed to be better than my original one, but we will see as it has only been working for 2 years/20,000km. I don't know if this is correct, but I seem to recall that the Airtex is made from Spain, one of Valeo's brands.

If anyone knows about the reliability of the pumps they sell it would be the forum's premier parts people, Heather and Mario, aka Roverlord.

Ordered one from Mario today along with fuel pump as it blew a fuse a few weeks ago and that usually means it’s on the way out

Was pleasantly surprised with the service, pretty much unheard of this kind of attention to detail in today’s dump and pump world
