Was an orange 38A a factory colour?

I was behind a deep orange P38A up in Northern NSW last week.
It appeared to be on springs.
Was this some special edition model of someone's idea of a good look.

"original" depends on your pov. If memory serves the autobiography models can be had in any trim and colour you like. So if you ordered an orange autobiography it would come from factory... orange

no, its was just standard british steel left unprimed at the end of a shift then clear coated the next day.

Rangie Rust Red I believe is the technical name for it.
