    A/C evaporator

Hi folks, my P38 has the dreaded smell of Pag oil coming from the air conditioning vents, which can only mean the evaporator is leaking. I have tried finding a new evaporator but I have come up empty handed. Has anyone purchased one lately and can point me in the right direction. I have a couple of second hand ones, but I would prefer to fit a new one when I have to remove the dash to replace the leaking one.
Thanks in advance for any help. Regards, Alan

I could find only one: EVAPORATOR ASSY Part STC3260 all the other sites mention it is out of stock or obsolete so... your mileage may vary. Also, they are not cheap!

    A/C evaporator

Hi Prelude, thanks for the reply. Yes they are rather expensive. So it looks like I will be putting in a second hand one at this stage. I will take measurements of an evaporator and see if I can match the size I could then make up pipework to make it connect up to the original tx valve and pipework. I have done this dozens of times before when there are no replacement evaporators available. So more work to do, and now I have to get it done ASAP. I had a phone call from my doctor late yesterday afternoon. They never ring with good news.
    Thanks, Alan.
