hey hillbilliywheelchair can you share the mod ?? and does this effect the life of pump ?

Yes it is for a Hydraulic Winch, I have been going through options !
I have a 10,000lb Hydraulic Winch fitted that has run off the power steering for years, its OK for basic recovery just very slow!!
I am setting it up for comp work and to be competitive I need it faster, Have been looking at the Maxidrive unit that bolts up to the Auto, still investigating !!, power packs just don't get enough flow and they have a current draw so I'm back at looking at different Power steering pumps to be belt driven ? ( I have a P38 Pump in shed and thats the reason for asking the LPM of that one ?? ) Otherwise I am looking at maybe an early ford one that's up around 15ltp.
    Anyone have any Ideas ?

Also has anyone added a bracket and got a longer belt to run another pump of a serp belt set up ? its a 96 Modified Discovery !.

    Cheers

do you think a pump from a ride on lawnmower drive system would give you enough? If the one on one of my wrecks is servicable you're welcome to it for scrap weight value and postage.
