I have a Santa Cruz Bullit for DH/freeride. It is a few years old now but the frame is tough as nails, I like the 5th Element shock and I just replace other stuff as I break it. I crashed once on Whistler Mountain and broke the seat, seatpost, both shifter pods, a brake lever and destroyed both wheels and the rear hub. I replaced all that, plus the bar, stem, fork and various other bits afterwards. I also broke 3 ribs, 3 bones in my right foot and punctured a lung in the same crash, but that sorted itself out just fine

A while ago I realised my jumping needed a lot of work, so I bought a Banshee Morphine. The frame is so stiff that when you case a landing your fillings just about fall out. It teaches you to be very, very smooth.

For all mountain/XC I have a Santa Cruz Blur LT. Probably a little heavy and a little too much travel, but I'm over breaking something (on me or the bike) every weekend.

The best thing is that all 3 fit nicely in the back of the County

Dave has broken A LOT more than the short list above!!!

I have an "03 big hit DH/FR and a Merida something hardtail (really the wife's but I ride it when she isn't). Of late I haven't done much riding, other than commuting (with a few jumps/drops/stairs and a short dirt track along the way). Keen to get out and ride some tracks around Perth some time.

I sold my ex9.5 about 2 months ago. It was alright but the new ones are much better with the new suspension.

Stiching is old school - a couple of weeks ago I super glued a deep gash in a mate's hand after he hit the house on a BMX bike. I can recommend it. After 5 mins work we went back to beers & BBQ instead of going to the hospital and sitting around for a few hours. They don't even let you drink in the waiting room
