Separate "Tutorials" Subforum??
I guess this thread is more aimed at the site administrators, but I'm also curious about everyone else's opinion on the following suggestion.
I'm noticing that more and more people are posting comprehensive step by step instructions on how to perform specific repairs and upgrades. I've been trying to do as such in my build thread, but even now on the front page alone there are step by step instruction threads on "Td5 Starter Repair", "Gullwing Door Install on a Puma 110", etc. These differ from the normal project threads in that they are of the format:
Step 1. Unbolt X
Step 2. Check that Y hasn't moved.
Step 3. Bolt Z to Y.
etc, rather than the general "look what I'm doing in my back yard at the moment" threads" (which I love to read). In other words, proper tutorials, selected for that reason by the moderators, that anyone can follow, and don't have to be searched for amongst a thousand other thread.
It's just an idea/proposal, and I hope that I am not overstepping the mark by opening it to discussion. I'm just curious about people's opinions on this, and the pros and cons of such a forum.
