Yeah. I emailed the guy a couple times to get more specific details so I could work out storage. He told me what was in the pics is what I get. The rolling 3/4 is full of gear too. I had to rethink my storage location and have a couple places I need to get confirmation from before I set up camp in their yard.![]()
Very good buy...does the truck run??...when you get it tell us the chassis numbers...I am intersted to know where that brush bar came from

i saw that one was a really good buy
Well....I got it. My very good brother in law came with me and we were both armed with car trailers and determination. BOY OH BOY did we need it. What the pics didn't show was the very small gateway into the lane and then 3 foot high rocks a car length away from the gate. Not really conducive to a good exit with 4WD and car trailer.
But we got it out. On a side note, I would like to give all readers a warning about hired car trailers. Make that two! The first is that check to make sure the brakes don't drag. This makes for Disco series one struggle even harder again to get up hills when loaded. The second is, check carefully the rotatting neck on the tow hitch to make sure it hadn't been bent. Doing these checks in broad daylight, would have me looking for another trailer and I wouldn't have had a River dance re-enactment with a Landy on top. It fish-tailed so badly at one point, that the Landy slid over a foot to the side and stopped against the side of the trailer.
Even after re-positioning it three times and re-distrubuting the weight and adjusting the tie downs......It was a VERY slow drive home.
But aside from that.......... we got it all back.
Today I am going armed with a camera and will get some more detailed pics. There is ALOT of extras. The front of the Complete Landy is three boxes full of gears, shafts, shims, screws...etc etc. In the back is a couple front bars and basically another cab. Doors, glass, guards, two bonnets (including the one on it and the one in the 3/4 donor, I now have 4) and a heap of odds and sodds.
It's going to take me a while to get through just the parts. But I'll keep you all posted.![]()
More pics.
...btw...I have checked over the front rails... and I am running blanks for the chassis number. Any pointers on where Land Rover may have these stamped...any sneeky locations?
