I may be able to help you get something made. I have a Toro sitting here waiting for me to fit it one day and I have the drive dog. It may be possible for Zenith engineering to copy mine. I am in Brisbane and not that far away from them, in fact my daughter works in Milton so I will have a look and see if they are close to her work. PM me if you think it might help.

just remove the small circlips and shaft will push straight out.To dismantle further,remove selector shaft and fork.Remove large circlip that retains rear bearing. Withdraw layshaft from back of case to allow cluster gear to fall away far enough to withdraw the large cylindrical output gear. lift synchro unit out through inspection hole. Fish out any needle thrust bearings,washers and synchr rings. With a suitable soft drift or piece of wood, drift out rear gear/ball bearing unit. lift out cluster gear, thrust and roller bearings.Quote:

Is the part you're holding in your hand part 52 in post #9? The teeth on mine are badly worn and razor sharp and I'm afraid they may chip at any moment. Is that shaft with the inside gear all one piece?

Yep that is the one. It sits in the big gear (output?) when you remove the circlips, there is a bunch of washers and thrust things that come out as well from each end of the shaft. Just take note of what came from where as you go and it's easy peasy.

The Mainshaft is back from Zenith.
Now to figure out how to put the bastard back in!
I am starting to plan installing the overdrive, and then organising some kind of gearshift mechanism.
I have a fitting manual for a Superwinch/Fairey Overdrive, so will take guidelines from it. Also, this link should prove useful to myself/others:

Edit. The only tip I can think of right now.
When refitting overdrive to transfercase make sure you tight the hidden nuts first, otherwise, and this has happened a few times, you will break a piece from the overdrive bolt flange.
Hi Wagoo, the price was 450 +gst.
They started something completely new instead of modifying the piece that is already there to suit the new sleeve. Not sure about the heat treating, so probably not?
I will get a roller bearing out of the box and see how it looks, i didnt think of that. Cheers!
I am not going to worry with PTO any more. I want to try and refurbish the winch and then probably sell it.
