    Thanks cobber

Will keep it in mind, I'll have to sort out springs once I've got it all finished

I'll be hanging a fair bit of weight out the back

Haven't achieved much really, finished putting the dash in. Still have to wire in the speedo and a few other things.

I finished the driveshafts, I ended up using H/D Hardy Spicer uni joints. At $60 each I hope they last It now drives under it's own power

I have all the pedals in, the clutch was a and the brakes feel fantastic with the Disco 1 booster (thanks SteveG)

The fuel tank is also plumbed in

The main tub is currently in being painted

I dropped it in to get an exhaust made yesterday, I was thinking of doing it myself. I haven't got a welder or the time, so by the time I'd got hold of both of those it wouldn't have saved me much money doing it myself

    Bit of an update

Heading to NZ on a trip with mates, so the Landy has gone back in the container for a while

The exhaust came up a treat, it was pretty expensive but should last as long as the chassis

Td5 speedo is in and wired up, Td5 A/C is also in. Picked up the tub, that also came up a treat. I put a coat of rubberised sound deadener on the underside last night

Trying to figure out the best way to do the doors. My frames are incredibly rusty so I picked up a whole heap of doors off a fella, all damaged. I'm hoping to make 4 decent frames and have them galvanised then painted and new skins fitted. I'll post up photos with the process

Well I finally found myself a shed and some money. Now to find some time

Most of the panels are painted, waiting for my Wolf rims to be painted, 255/85's are in the tyre shop and 5 brand new doors are currently in with the painter

The deadline is now the 6th of December otherwise I have to go back through the engineering paperwork. Hopefully should have it on the road by then

Dude build looks awesome. I love the way you've persevered with this project. It should be an immaculate rig that will last a long time indeed!

Made a bit of time on the weekend to get a bit done

Fitted my 120A alternator with only minor modifications to the mount, then finished all the wiring on the engine. Fitted the stop motor and it now starts and stops on the key

I bought myself an air riveter the other day and got stuck into the body

Finally it's starting to take shape

Which air riveter did you buy? Looking at getting one myself.

    Hi Jock

How much difference is there between the weights of the Isuzu and the 300 TDi?

Also is there much difference between front springs to suit the Isuzu verses the 300 TDi.

    Interesting thread.
