Cleaned it up as best as I could with water and a clean rag.
Then I used the sealant pictured. It looked good suggesting it remained 25% flexible ... I think it said ???
I'll be able to let everyone know if it lasts ...
As much as enjoy a steady flow water dripping onto my feet while I drive ... I was fixing the windshield to roof seal today ... Raining or not, it was getting done !!
I'd replaced the front door seals the week before. It had stopped half of the leaks - Especially while stationary.
Both sides of the windshield to roof sealing were cracked with up to 2-3mm holes where my guess was water was just flowing in while driving.
Using a small flat blade the original sealant cam out surprisingly easily.

Anyways, filled the gap across the top first. Pushed it in with my finger and then added some more before smoothing off again. For anyone not aware - Slag on your finger and the sealant doesn't stick to your finger ??
Then I had to fill the corners and get a bit crafty but really happy with the finish.
Then it started bucketing rain again as it dried. So I tried to get some finished snaps.
Well after months of preparation – Sally was finally ready to adventure to the top.
I spent the first 3 days of the holiday finalising mechanical preparations – But are you ever truly ready for a trip to Cape York ??
Here are some photos – Keeping in mind I have hundreds J
Looking forward to seeing the report when you get a chance. She's looking like a solid/capable vehicle now
Hope you have fun on your adventure, or have you already been there?
Sad news is I made it myself. It's not finished. I simply ran out of time. I can definitely draw you up something to take to someone ?? I was only thinking today what's left to do to it, and the drama of pulling it back on and off again
Yeah this weekend was the first weekend back. Just sorting out photos and log, ect. I had to survive the first week back at work, which was not easy with the last 12 days so fresh in my mind.
Nice car mate
