    The Gerry interaction system

    Hey Peeps,

I thought i would show off my latest improvement for my Disco
Ive added a 3.7 inch touch screen into a MUD Dash pod for controlling all my accessories in the land rover at the moment all i have is turning my accessories on and off and some temperature readings but the plan is to add OBDII functionality and Engine/Coolant Temp warnings / telemetry.

Attached to the post are some photos of my new handwork, i think its a much better idea then having to install a physical switch into the dash for every addition to the car.

Have a look and give me your feedback, or if anyone has some ideas on what temp sensors for coolant diffs ect they have used i would be keen to know..

    Very cool!

Have a mate who years back built a in car PC running Labview and a data logger to interpret and manage a heap of aftermarket sensors and outputs, ultimately building a home-brew water/methanol injection system.

Major props for this, looks like a great bit of kit.

good drills, did you give any consideration to using single din motorised style touch screen entertainment system for the controller?

That looks great, really interested in developing something similar to my Unimog, I already have 7" touch screens in the over head console.

    What computer/system are you using?

    Hey,

I'm using an Arduino microcontroller with a custom interface built on C++

No, not really the plan was to keep the screen small, ive never been a fan of the big motorised screens

Going to have to get one myself. 20 years ago I programmed a lot in C++, just have to try and pick it all up again.
