Cleaned up the door cappings and engine bay with acetone, a rag and lots of rubbing.

That patina looks great. Are you going to respray it?
I agree it does look good.
It's just not the right colour for me and with the new panels, I will have to paint anyway.
As I've been doing the paint prep I've been trying to minimise the body work and primer thickness as when it gets its bush pinstripes and scrapes I don't want too much scratch depth.
But it's hard to resist filling in the defects.
I love the look of a series 1 where the paint has worn through showing bare ally
