It seems like forever since I kast did some work on the ute.

But now I have finally had some time to do a bit more.

I bought and mounted some LPG tanks on the back and I have also been stripping down the motor and wiring ready to pull off the body.

Now I am ready to get the tray and rollbar made. It is not going to be a very practical tray but then I am not planning on carrying much on it. It will really just be a frame around the LPG tanks and a place at the rear to mount the spare wheel.

What does everyone think of this tray. I saw these pics recently and liked the design of the tray.

Looks good, the tyre would be easier to get at and it has a bit of flat storage space for fridge etc. The pipework looks way to small though...I would go for something thicker and chunkier.

Yea, thanks Mick for rubbing it in.

Once the tray is made it should all move along nicely. $$$ are going to be the biggest problem since I have to do a bit of work on the motor as well.
I spent some more time today pulling out unnecessay wiring.....like most of it.

Yes, I think I have sold myself on the tray, I really like it, lets just hope someone can build it to look the same.

You are ready to paint the tray but what about the rest of the car. What color is it going to be?

Did a bit more to the ute this week. I have put the side panels. I have decided not to install the little side window but instead formed up a panel to cover the entire area.
I have done this because the way the window mounted was very messy and I reckon this neatens everything up a bit.
