    Day 5

Very boring day today, not much to show.

Gusseted up all the joins on the rear pillar and spent the morning trying to blow holes in the thin metal again. Nade lots of nice bird crap and then ground it all back nicely.

Next I had to strengthen up the rear floor and side panels by adding in some bracing and boxing it all in.

And finally boxed in the lower rear section of the cab.

Didn't buy the 300l gas tank but will look for 2 smaller 100litre tanks.

    DAY 6

Easy day today just finishing off a couple of things and redoing some other things. Everything is now all tacked together and is ready to go to the engineer for the 1st inspection. Once he ok's it all it will be stripped down and I will rebuild it with proper welds and sikaflex and rivets.

I think that back panel is a danger to pedestrians.

Now that's the pot calling the kettle black!

And just in case people are wondering. The back panel still needs to be trimmed to size and will match the contour of the rear body panel, but that has to wait till I remove the rear panle after it's been to the engineers.

Yr rangie had a can of red bull!! I glad i screwed that bit up!! not going to be easy to trim those wings down! i had drilled those 5 rivets out and welded them up so i can run some rivets down along the glass panel..

I had a long long think about it toaday and I am pretty sure I can get it to work. I want to be able to remove the fibreglass panels if I have to so I don't want to sikaflex them on. It wont be easy but I think I can cut the back panel to match the profile of the side panels.

I also bought a new toy the other day.
