Not yet. I have spoken to him a couple of times but he hasn't called back.
I'll ring him again on Monday

Thanks Dave. Did you end up getting the touchscreen from Tim?

Day 2
Look what I bought today.![]()
Time to start some Cuttin!!!
First the roof. Cut it and pop/sikaflex it together
Then sikaflex the fibreglass shell over the top.
Sexy isn't it.![]()
Now to cut the side windows to the right shape
Then to hack out the rear pillars which will be welded back into place a bit further forward.
And this is what it looks like with the pillars cut out.
Lastly it is time to remove the rear section of the body. I had a lot of problems getting the brake line off the body and had trouble removing one of the rear body mounts, but after that it was easy with the 9" grinder.
Took the boy for a drive down the driveway. He always wanted a convertible.
And the bit left over.
Now the hard part starts, welding everything back on...but that will have to wait till next weekend as I have to go away with work tomorrow.
Nice job Adam! Its lookin good! Why not make a trailer out of the left over bit?
Angus
