If you need a hand give me a call.
You have picture issues too.
What I hear you say??? Not another Ute!!!
Yes but this one is a bit different to the others.
Yes it is a Rangie Two door http://www.aulro.com/apc/showfull.ph...e=100_0187.JPG only in body the
remainder of the car will be a 98 Discovery, i.e. diffs chassis,
Motor, http://www.aulro.com/apc/showfull.ph...e=100_0065.JPGgear box/transmission transferbox and the interior.
The 2door will hopefully be transformed into a style side ute. Project will take Who knows as Work gets in the way of most things around my place. As I progress with the transformation i will endeavour to post up pics.
As you can see the disco arrived at my place vertually stripped, with only a few things left. The Rangie arrived 98% complete with the carbies and manifold off, these were replaced and is going vehicle.
Once the Qld transport approves the transformation (application to modify), Im hoping it shouldnt take to long to change bodies over.
As the body and remainder of the parts need to go, they are for sale
http://www.aulro.com/apc/showproduct...uct=945&cat=25
and a lot of parts from the Rangie are also for sale

Do you know how you will be doing the cab of the rangie yet ?
MY08 TDV6 SE D3- permagrin ooh yeah

I may be using a streight up and down back or a slopping back window like your standard Ford/Holden back, with a small set back from the end of the B pillarsDo you know how you will be doing the cab of the rangie yet ?
Hope this pic works but this is what mine looks like.

just a line or two to update the project.
2day 18 Jul, i received the approval to start the project once i have spoken to an approved person to arrange visits and the mod plate once this is completed.
I spoke with QT about a few things in regards to suspenion, NCOP, and other stuff. the 1/3 spring lift/travel is black and white (1/3 bumpstop) after doing a bit of digging, not sure if figures are right, i found the bump stop gap in RR should be minumin of 2.8", 1/3 of this is .9" which converts to 23mm so working on 1/3 additional raise in springs will only allow max of 1" bigger springs
NCOP at this stage WILL NOTbe adopped by the Qld Transpost department.

Tyres are the same at the moment 15mm above compliance plate i.e.
RR 89 has two tyre sizes 205R16 + 215/75/16 ,205R = 205/80/16
working on the 15mm rule you get the following:
215/75/16 = 728.9mm + 15mm = 743.9mm convert this to inches = 29.28"
205R 16 = 734.4mm = 15mm = 749.4mm convet to inches = 29.5"
and a 245/70/16 = 734.5mm + 15 = 749.4mm converted to inches = 29.5"
245/75/16 = 773.9mm a no go tyre
so the largest tyre yo can stick on a 89 RR is a 245/70/16 or a 29x 91/5"
just a little info for you all
all the best
also lots of spare parts to be had from both vehicles (dash out of 2door sold) so drop me line or two
The Disco has the same size tyre placard as the Range Rover its only on a Defender that has a larger tyre size change. If your chassis and driveline is all going to be 98 disco, wouldnt you be going off max tyre sizes and spring sizes for that as it is only an old body that you are lightening a lot of it anyway or are they so similar that it doesnt matter.
a 205r/16 or 215/75/16 tyres are only 28" is size.
Yes you are right i will be going to the largest tyres a springs that i can go to, in the application i did ask to have the tyre size to 245/75/16 but it didnt say it in the letter but i will be asking the approved person if it was approved.
