D1 Rear Bar For Elmo .

OK I'll start a new thread seeings that the last one went to **** quick !

Started a tube rear bar for Elmo yesterday and have worked on it for most of today . It's taken a lot of thinking and grinder work to get it this far . Have made it so the standard lights still fit in and if flush with the side of the panels so nothing can get caught on the bar out in the scrub . Have also made a start on the wheel carriers which will be removable . All the bar work is 50mm pipe .

Hi Mate . I will be able to fit any size tyre i want on the back as the carrier is flush with the back of the rear bar .

Fusion, I would have thought you would cut the lower quater panner (right behind wheel) and run the bar across to the wheel.

The pics below (off another site - cant remember which one) is how I like mine to be one day. The only thing is the rear bar is too thin and will bend easily. But as you can see it runs to the wheel for extra clearance.

Hi Mate . I thought about doing it that way but with the towbar is pretty low anyways . Plus i wanted a fair bit of strength for the 2 wheel carriers .

how are you attaching the wheels carriers?

are they going to attach to the two verticals you have and pivot on those?
