    Fitting a P76 V8 to 1955 swb

    I have a SWB 1955 Land Rover and a V8 P76 motor.
Any suggestions on whats the best way to fit it?

Doable. I managed to squeeze a 318 Chrysler into a 56 model. You will definitely have to modify the bulkhead and trans tunnel. Depending on what gear box or auto you want to run. I'd suggest you find a wrecked rangie or disco for the gearbox of your choice and diffs. The rangie or disco flywheel/flex plate will need redrilling to suit the P76. Make your own mounts. Would be a lively bit of gear when done!

You may also consider putting the landy's body, rear cross member and chassis out riggers onto a shortened Rangie or Disco coil chassis for the ultimate hybrid.
