I'd say it's carrying water Pedro, seeing stand-pipes are few and far between these days.
is the wagon after the garret in use?
or just some form of buffer?

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Great shots, thanks for sharing.I notice a diesel loco being towed behind 6029, I guess it's there "just in case" as a condition for bringing 6029 onto a main line!!!

I was at the Lachlan Valley Railway roundhouse at Cowra last week and the chap who showed me around told me the Garrett was going to Junee over the long weekend. However, I was in Echuca over the long weekend. (I visited the Junee Roundhouse the day after Lachlan Valley - I might post some pics in another thread.)

For the shuttles 4501 powered it on the return shuttle.
For the main trip hauling all the carriages 4501 and 4403 were powering up all the hills .. was a large load of carriages.
Great video from Bevan and assume the drone shots from his son, Ross

I am never going to get any work done now.
Great videos Rosco8 and thanks for posting them.
Yep, didn't look like 6029 was working very hard, understandable but a little disappointing, although better that it's looked after after all the hard work put in to restore it. there was certainly enough steam for the whistle though, we were waiting a couple of Km from Galong and I reckon we heard the whistle a good 20 minutes before she came into sight.

I was in Wagga for the long weekend and on finding the big Garratt was doing shuttles from Wagga station to Bomen and back, I went for a spin. I also shot some footage with my I phone (all I had at the time),but am unable to upload it as it comes up as an invalid file. Anyone got a remedy?

I watched the video,..all of it.
Fantastic, How did you get to all of the different sites to take all the different shots?
I've been to the Junee Roundhouse, & took a picture of Wifey standing on the Turntable. Can't remember what time of year it was, but it was absolutely FREEZING!!
I grew up in Manchester U.K. with Steam engines, and where a large number of Aussie Steam Locos were made,..the Bayer Peacock works was just around the corner from where We lived.
TOP video, thanks, Pickles.
