    REPCO hand winch

Hi guys, i bought one of these ages and ages ago. Until 3 weeks ago i had never needed to use it, and stupid me didnt get it out and play with it first so learning in the rain and dark wasnt fun

The problem is I cant get the bloody thing to free spool the cable through the winch. It says the two winching leavers need to be in a set spot and then you live the little leaver up and it should click into place. I can see a notch in the body of the winch where the little leave should lock into but the notch seems to be 10mm to far back for it to lock in.

Anyone else got one and can help me out, am i doing something wrong or is the notch in the body of the winch been put in the wrong spot.

    Matt

but the little leaver flops around freely, its not hard to lift up and down. I shall get it out of the bag next week and have another look at it. I must be doing something wrong.

they are hard the first time best to play in the daylight but its a trick with the other lever it has to be held just right while a second person feeds the cable i found it easier to get it started them use the handle not extended to rachet it through bit slow tho

got exactly the same winch, run the cable through the winch, and from memory you pull the lever up, up hard, up real hard. It's a bit of a struggle.
