The line described by the top and bottom swivel bearings (king pin angle) projects a line that intersects at the interface between tyre footprint and road surface. i.e. the bottom is the lug that protrudes.

    Isn't it obvious?????

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Or put a stick through the two holes - it is right way up when the stick is leaning in at the top.

The top bearing cambers in. You got to put the thinking cap on when pressing in the bearings. I put them in the wrong way once........

well it looks like i got it right how ever the wheel looks to have a slight positive camber and the left looks straight up and down 0 camber so i bolted a wheel up and put a level on it (the whole axle is out of the truck) and the right wheel is out maybe something is bent so i best investigate. schmierer LR at singleton i got a bloke called Hardchrome Services i dont have any pics but the ball came back spot on. the series one shop has them too i think have a look there too i was lucky an only needed one chromed

Check to see if the axle tube is bent. You can do this by clamping a straight edge to each flange end and measuring the distance between them; or measuring the inclination of the flange with a bubble level and square.

That should at least confirm that there is a bend. Bent tubes can be pulled straight with an oxy set and a lever and someone who is switched-on, to help,

    Cheers Charlie
