Engine running and good oil pressure etc.
Overhaul instruments and steering wheel with original centre and install.

Finished off the painting and installed Wings and Doors.

how did you overall the steering wheel?

Clean out all the cracks and widen them a bit, fill with body filler, sand back and give it a dozen coats of black acrylic lacquer.
Lacquer the centre bit, clean up the contacts on the horn and dip switch.
I change the wiring so that these switches only switch relays, this also removes the load from the light switch.

I have seen it done on old Fergy tractor steering wheels as well and they last well after that treatment.

Been a bit slack with the posts, but just about ready for OK inspection, so I will post a few shots of the result.
