Hi Dennis
Could you briefly describe how to clean the aluminium covers to a as new look?
After the cleaning, to stop oil and dirt stains reoccurring, is it feasible to spray a coat of clear lacquer over the bare aluminium, such as the bell housing ?
Your really setting the pace with that job, good work.
i was watching something on youtube where he said he cleaned aluminium and the spots came back and then tried some acids and it worked. I think i am going to look at bead blasting now too.
As stated by Charlie, Glass bead is the go. Cheap easy and quick.
Hello Dennis
Its been a while - looks like the project is comming along well.
All the best
Wayne
Knocked up a couple of new door skins and fitted, a lot faster than trying to remove dints. Have the wings just about straight hopefully get them painted in the next day or 2.
Painted inside before fitting.

Hi Dennis
you going to Melrose this year
thinking of bring a few spare fuel pumps for the weekend
it's a pity the rest of the panel work was not as easy as door skins
how did you get on with the 110?
cheers
Ian
