    2l diesel for 2.25p or 2.25 d

    swapping out series 1 with 2l diesel for 2.25 in vic,will it require engineer cert or will be a straight swap.Not much changed mechanically in early series two did it,anyhow if any of you are well informed blokes are in the know i wouldnt mind knowing//// your regards cheerychops.PS daily driver dead parts supply now.3 FULLY FLOATING SERIES 1 REAR DIFFS YIPEEEEE

    The 2.25 is a straight swap for the 2l diesel. This change defined the difference between a 2 and 2a in 1961. I would be surprised if engineering was required, but you might want to phone your local authority - they don't always follow logic.

    Generally the rule in most states is that any optional engine does not need engineering.

    The 2.25 was not really an option in the S1, but how would the authorities know!
