Does anyone have a "blueprint" of the series 1 (80") front guards?
I have a local bloke interested in making them but obviously it will be easier
to get a quote if I can produce a plan, blueprint or measurements..
Same for the rear tub sides/rear (I have the LRO article about making them from the recent mag)
anyone able to help with a 'layout' and measurements of these or a point in the direction from which they can be obtained I really appreciate it.
(would be made from aluminium and spot welded where appropriate etc)

I want to concur with Jim about Wadsworth panels. Keith makes Series ones better than Land Rover made them in the 1940's and 1950s
Personally I have found that getting a pair of the outer panels sent out is cost effective as they come boxed not much bigger than a single panel. The cost of getting inners and outers is expensive because of the lost space.
Trying to press the complex curves of the outer panels would not be cost effective, however folding up the inner panels, doors and tub would be worthwhile. Allan H in Canberra has made a business of it for the 80", but won't do it in Winter because of the cold.

The outer skin on a series rover mudguard stayed the same from the early 80"s through to the end of the 86" production run (give or take a hole or two!).
That should broaden the search considerably.
When the 88"s came along then they added two inches to the front guards.
The tops and inners do vary though.

Yes I agree . Although with some thought and planning , I'd think it possible to fabricate the outer wing panels too , maybe you could TIG weld in that complex corner patch as a separate piece .
The 80 tub would have to be one of the easiest bodies to make at home ... Compared to a WW2 Jeep with its steel and many curvy bits , a 80 tub would be a doddle in the park as its almost totally flat . Having seen the gems made out at Geelong road , gives one some confidence we can do it as well !
Getting back to the question. To make templates , you use the old panel and flatten it out , you then use that flattened out panel to mark out the new panel and you have the exact size to cut out , the aircraft restorers use that method MIKE
