    Hi Wayne,
This is really the only one I have seen so far but you never know.
Today managed to get the doner engine into the landy, had to seperate the gearbox which had stuck to the engine!! once apart found out why, the shaft had rust on it from going under in a flood, so the clutch is stuffed, had to clean lots of surface rust off but cleaned up ok for now.
Will try to get the engine to fire next weekend after reconditioning a zenith carby, so fingers crossed

Success after some messing around and trying to get the engine going as a + earth, finally tried - earth and it fired!! so now just a little fine tuning and finish connecting the fuel lines up and get a radiator for it.
But considering I was working in 31 degree heat and the tools got a little hot at times lol it was a good day
Only negative was when draining the oil I found about 1 litre of water in the sump fingers crossed

    Happy New Year to All,
Due to a change with work I will now be moving down to Brisbane.
I have now transported the 109 down to a safer location in SE Queensland and started to have a good look over it.
Removed the front Indicators and wiped down the body a bit however since the paint is so degraded quite a bit came off
Found on the right front of the tub the weight indicator, reads. T.1.7.1.14 and underneath L. 15cwt.
The bottom one I know however the top one is longer than what I have seen before? anyone know

    Hi Wardy

Can you get us the engine number for that diesel please?
I think that's the rare 2 Litre diesel from a 1958 series one.

    1960

[QUOTE=Northern Lander;1826528]Hi Arthur, the engine number is 156100658

    Thanks Wardy

It is a rare as 2 Litre Diesel that was fitted around 1960 to a series 2, most likely a 109

The canister fuel filter was used up to 1960
Inlet manifold P/No 272376 was used on all 2 Ltr Diesels
The injectors look like they are out of the later 2.25 Diesel.

Are you selling hens teeth as well?

In queensland, certainly into the 1950's, commercial vehicles were required to have the owner's name, locality, capacities on the side of the vehicle. Like this-

Hi Arthur the engine is sitting at the moment on a pallet at a mates place in Townsville, if you want it let me know.

Hi Brian, That sounds about right and the owner for this veh would have been the RACQ so makes sense.

    Cheers
