Thread: 80" hardtop fitment

There is an expanded foam rubber seal that sits between the roof and the top rail of the screen. You could probably use a section of EDPM sponge seal from Clark Rubber. They have some 25mm x 32mm which would be close to what you need.



Will have to check the manual, however IIRC the tab that holds the top rail over the door of the soft top is also used for holding the hard top. There is a little bird in my head telling me there should be a link made of 1" flat bar with a hole at each end, which goes between the roof and the tab on the windscreen. Will let you know tonight.

There should also be a seal under the screen. Chris klein had some formed a few years ago and Dunsfolds Land Rover in the UK also had it in stock. I have also seen people use pinchweld with side bulb also from Clark Rubber. "Pinchweld EDPM extra large bulb."

Jim, if it leaks in slight drizzle, just imagine what it would do if I drove it over to Russel Is.

I just picked up some foam and stuff for work from Complete Rubber in Fairfield Melbourne. I had a look at their seals they have the same as this in stock. I wish they had the door seals but no luck there.

That's why our other roads cost so much. Down here, we have Comerong Island at the mouth of the Shoalhaven River, there are 3 houses on the island and the ferry is free.

BTW: The island was made when David Berry had a canal dug to give his sailing ship "Coolangatta" permanent access from his homestead on the base of Mt Coolandgatta to the sea through Crookhaven Heads, without David Berry and that ship you wouldn't have a Coolangatta in Queensland.
