I hate the rusted nut and bolt crap on these guys if you are lucky and they are really rusted they will snap
How did you get the floor panel out? It appears they have to slide over the pedal stalks.

I just did it the other day on an 86' and lifted the whole floor and tunnel off in one go but you need to take the stalk off from underneath by splitting it open you should see what I mean

Thanks Landy Smurf. I haven't ventured under this area because every time I do rust flakes from the firewall shower me.
    I'll give it ago tomorrow.

    Hi Jonesy
If the bolt head is there I would look at hitting where the thread is on the pedal arm with heat a few times then lots of Inox or Lanox and avoid snapping the bolt off unless you want to drill the thread out and put a bolt through and clamp it that way.
The cast arm usually survives quite well considering and also are slightly different from the later Series 1 models.
Best of luck and good to see another 50 on its way back to life

Buy your self a can of CRC Freeze Off or the Locktite equavalent it works wonders on frozen bolts & shafts. . Just spray the bolt or shaft you want to remove give it a minute or two then try to undo. The evaporation of the spray shrinks the bolt. Wayne

A squirt of CRC each day for a week seemed to work. I didn't break or shear off anything, except the usual skin off the knuckles.

The freeze off works faster than a week only about 60 sec & no skin off i've found. Wayne
