I remember when getting tyres for my Series 1 that changing to a 235/80 or 205/80 changed lowered the gearing by 7 or 9% over the original fitment tyres.
I ended up with 700x16 RTM's which were being brought into the country at the time.
Nice wagon fourgearsticks. 
I need an overdrive, then I could call mine 5 gearsticks 1956 Series 1 with PTO welder (home made) (last picture in post #1 shows 4 existing gearsticks)
