    Just started the strip down phase.

    Are you going to have Klonk ready for the trip up the CSR next year . Should be a hoot. There are quite a few very serious series 1 owners in Perth. They are down your way at Lucky bay from tomorrow for a week or so.
    Yes Borumbah looks the goods Keith uses it as a run around. I may need to check a few things out before the trip but its running well at present and i dont forsee any major issues.

    The mystery thickens Keith

    I spoke with Fabian Webb tonight who is getting on a bit ,he does remember a Grey Landrover Ute but he didnt think it had any sign writing. He also remembers a grey Jeep ute??
    After the Webb's had to give up Borumbah ( yes thats how they spelt it) another family took over for a while until the Govt bought it back. That was Andy Sullivan the Grandad of The Current Sullivans the stock and real estate agents in Gympie. Fabian Webb seems to think that Andy Sullivan may have owned the 109 and he had to drive it quite a distance through the logging tracks to get to Borumbah after the dam cut off the access. I will email the Sullivans and see if they know anything. Any way I will still make up a CD of the Webb boys to play while we are out on the Canning Stock route LOL.

    Hi Mike
    Hope the crew at lucky bay have long tent pegs! might be abit rough for the next couple of days.
    Sorry I dont know what and where the CSR is, but am keen to get some use out of all the work Im doing. Body work now. I have no time frame to finish as everything I touch needs repair or replacing.
    Im looking at comming up for the 65th rally with another bloke that has a 49 and a 55 S1, will be good to catch up with a few people.

    Cheers Steve

    Steve,

    CSR = Canning Stock Route

    It is also a brand of sugar that your wife may put in your cups of tea to help fuel Klonk's resurrection.

    Will see you at the 65th run.

    Yes they will need truck axels like the Circus tents use. Blowing a gale here just puled the outdoor setiing from the pool. Maybe i should have left it there for a while. There will be a a contingent of series 1 's doing the Canning Stock route for the 65 th aniversary. At least 2 ....48 's will be going and several others including my new 109. Have a google of the CSR and see if you would enjoy that type of terrain.

    I went up the CSR in the 110 in 2011... Id love to be able to do it in a 80"... though I think Id deserve a medal if I drove all the way the and back, coming from Sydney that is!

    Those dunes and corrugations will definitely test the metal of the car and the driver!!!
    Regards,
    Jon
