I'm busting to watch these but my Youtube comes up with 'not available on this platform' - what does that mean?

I pulled the box out of the 88 and this will go into the 109 when rebuilt . Pics of the box coming apart . Someone who really knows their stuff makes this look easy and very quick ( its not me) . This box is in very good condition having done only 58,000miles but the lay shaft for the intermediate gear (55 Fig C-2 Workshop manual)and bearings will need replacing. All the gears are in very good condition. The big circlip retaining the main shaft (41 Fig C-2 workshop manual) is very difficult to remove but the shaft can be pressed through the bearing forwards and the clip removed when the case is split. I like the stand trhis makes it all very ergonomic and much better than rolling around on a bench.IMG_0453.jpg

I know that shed!
Borumbah got a thorough polishing inside and out. The dash looks like new and even where there was no paint the alloy is now shiny inside the engine bay looks like glass. Bunnings supplied 2 door stops so the only hole left unplugged is where a radio aerial once protruded and should be able to get a bung from Clark Robber for that. Once we finish the gearbox the MAP hubs are coming off for an inspection and rebuild if required anyone has any info on MAP hubs I would love to see it especially an exploded view .

Thanks Mike

The gearbox bits are all cleaned up and the metal bits bead blasted and painted black. Now waiting for parts. Gary Gjerede in Sydney can supply most of the bits including rubber grommets and dust covers just a couple roller bearings on the lay shaft have to come from Dunsfold. This box was in very good condition and all the gears looked like new. Been good fun cleaning everything up amazing how rusty old parts become new again. I was given a throttle and linkage today ( thanks Graeme )so on my next long trip I will have cruise .
