Found an aircraft landing light that fitted the cover with same curved glass. Hows that mount bar could tow out a road-train with that .
Good Karma must be shining on me . Today coming back from Port Beach in Borumbah we came across a rather weathered Series 2 we pulled over for a chat. My new mate got me to follow him home and I was presented with a Fairey overdrive and a pair of very old Bosh spot lights (tear drop type as seen on Series 1's) now surplus to his requirements. My mate has had his Series 2 for over 30 years it was his first car. He tells me that back home in NSW his family are still using 2 Full Grill early Series 1's as everyday farm vehicles and that is where he learnt to work on them. I also came across a nice 107 ute in Bicton on Saturday with Qld plates but looking a bit neglected cobwebs growing over it. I doubt if its currently running but looked to be an easy fix up.

Fitted my roof racks today as well. There seems to be a worldwide shortage of Fairey Overdrive Lay Gears part RTC 7192 if anyone has a good second hand one they don't need let me know.

Can anyone pick what's different about my tub to any other 107/109 its not the Canvas or hood sticks or the pop rivet repair . Clearly evident in the above photo. Mike![]()

I can't pick anything odd, but it's looking good mate.
Looks like I may have a capstan winch keeping fingers crossed
I couldn't resist these after seeing Sandy's 109 dressed up . I got them from the Mini shop. The old girl deserves a bit of bling she looks after me well. Now done 6000 miles since she left Keith's place 6 months ago. No instruction came with these and the clips could have worked but didn't in about 20 different combinations but I finally worked it out.![]()
I've always prefered the hinged ones.
Got my Winch yippeee
