    Hello Dennis,

So the PTO on the Land Rover? Not something to do with the steam locomotive? Oh sorry for the thread hijack with my incorrect ID of what turned out to be the Dillon torch.

    Kind Regards
    Lionel

No worries Lionel, and yes Pedro I have cast bullets for many different calibers over the years rifle/pistol, I have about a 1/4 ton of 'linotype' in ingots which I will never use unless I start firing off rounds in the back yard LOL, whoops I have hi-jacked my own thread LOL cheers Dennis

Denis, cast some projectiles for the gun buggy and then you will be prepared for when the invasion begins.

On the threaded rod where the knob goes I made a collar threaded 7/16"BSF to protect the thread and also to sit square on the anvil while I belted the hot end to peen it over, it is all done now, cheers Dennis

Well with club rego inspection behind again for another year although sometimes I feel as though it comes around every two weeks LOL, all vehicles passed without too much fuss, just the usual non compliance with lights refusing to work until you give them a bump with your hand, the problem is they sit for too long between runs on our rough goat tracks where I live .
Anyway yesterday I took a short trip to my mates place at Mandalong, so I could use his guillotine to cut strips that will fit in the rubbers I have for the doors etc, while I was there I also cut some strips of brass for my model loco to fit under the copper backhead/throatplate as copper can't be threaded.
Here is a length of rubber with the alloy strip inside it

and here is one fitted to the front of the bulkhead left side

and the rear of the left door

look at the dust that floats in the atmosphere add to that the dust from the open cut mines not far away, anyway lunch break is over better get back to it cheers Dennis

Well I had no joy with the Series 1 conditional registration, it isn't due until Feb 2017, but I wanted it to fall at the same time as all the others in December, it just can't be done unless I cancel the rego, surrender the plates and start from scratch again, which is a repeat of the process that I had in the first instant, if the young man who did the paper work behind the counter @ the local RTA (as it was back in Feb 2016) had have listened to me instead of yakking to all n sundry back then, now Service NSW and no-one knows how to!!!!, before computers it would have been done in minutes no fuss,,.
Anyway today I sat in it and remembered that I had to look into why the the fuel gauge wouldn't/doesn't work as it should, it was that hot sitting in it even though it was under cover, the juice was running out of me, anyway I found the problem and I'm blaming the auto-electrician, he had the wires on the gauge in the wrong places, but I can't sack him as it's me LOL all good now, works as it should, I need to get it out n take it for a run, but I have to move 5 vehicles first, anyway cheers and all the best for the coming year, Dennis
