    Leaving and selling, final photoshoot

    Hi everyone,

We are going to leave in a month or two. I have postponed it but with a heavy heart I started listing Hebe for sale on several sites (see Aulro marketplace). Today I took my daughter to the beach to say our final farewells and make a few last photos. I of course dressed up for the occaision and I must say that Hebe's colour really comes out well on the beach.

I am still job hunting for a position in the UK but hope to find something that will keep me coming back now and then for work. Being an Aussie now myself I am sure to come back. Whoever buys Hebe, better take good care of her.

Does anyone have any recomendations on where to put for sale ads? Which websites or...???

mate, take her with you! Either for your own pleasure or to sell. I reckon you would get a pretty penny for her over there!

I'd hate to be you right now where the car is concerned. It must be gut wrenching to have to see her go. She is one hell of an example of a vehicle.

What beach did you take that pic at?

Please don't take it to the UK... The salted roads will kill it! Yes, it might fetch more but we want to keep it here! Its stunning! I wish you all the best for your Europe move, and the sale of a stunning vehicle!

I did consider shipping. But I am going without a job, unless I find one soon. We will also need the money. It's eating me up and I have been putting it off for a long time. However, I did do what I wanted. Drove the kids with cancer at the Christmas party around, made a few nice photos, visited friends on Mornington... maybe I will take it for a final camping trip... but I am now OK to let go... IF I find someone who cares and doesn't it let go to waste. It looks great, but more can be done to get it fully original or optimum (said the perfectionist).

Have a look at this one
1951 Land Rover Rover Series I
Wow, I didn't have the patience to go better than new. Nor the funds.

Chops, Mordialloc beach at the sailing club. Sailing club gave me permission to rescue one of their boats (ahem) because otherwise it is illegal to drive on the beach. By the way, I just went 3 meters or so on it for the photos and totally forgot to rescue that sailing boat. I wonder if it drowned?

Anyway, good memories. But time to move on. And once in the UK...... shsst don't tell my wife.

    Half a L/R

    Hi
Had a look at the 51 for sale
It is only 1/2 a Landy
like other rebuilds, only half finished
were are the door tops, windows, bows, tilt, hard top, ute top etc etc
its only bits of this and that, like a few I saw at Cooma in 68.
when you rebuild a car finish it
my first 58 rebuild finished up with a tilt, tropical waggon full roof etc, and a ute cab, can drive it in 4 different variants.
My 49 comes with a tilt and truck cab.
It takes a rebuilder to do the lot
    cheers
    Ian
