Hi Wal
Klonk is 16660816 and has no drain plugs in the swivels.
Cheers Steve
Does anybody know the chassis/axle number when swivel pin housings were first fitted with drain plugs? I've got an 1666.... 80" that's got one of each. I'm just wondering which is the original one. .W.

Interesting question Wally.
The 48 to 51 parts book does not show them in the diagram but lists the part number in the text, but no chassis or axle number where they came in.
The 52 parts book shows them in the diagram as well as in the text.
I have one housing here without them and the corresponding seal retainer without the cutouts but cant remember which vehicle they were from.

Judging from many other changes, particularly in early production, I suspect that this change did not come in at any specific chassis number, or if it did, this was not recorded, the revised parts being phased in as they became available.

Thank you Steve and Keith. I think I can safely assume that mine, being 0749 left the factory without drain plugs. .W.

If you dont have a housing to match you can have one of my spares

Thank you for the offer Keith. I've got a couple , including the correct seal retainers. That's what prompted me to start this thread. Cheers .W.
