Tomo, just do the best you can, I'm no expert and believe me I have broken/buggered/bent many things along the way trying to achieve my end result, thanks for compliment thoughcheers Dennis

Hi Tomo,
Would not bother with the heritage certificate I will tell you exactly what I have told you as they get the information from the same books. I have access to information from Gaydon that was recorded in the late 1990s.
Technical Specification Package won't tell you anything more then what you don't already know. Best have a look in the front of a TP/138/A Workshop manual as these suite 1950 Models best. This gives a tech spec.
A few Test run CKD's were done by Regent Motors in 1949 and pretty much that year was spent getting ready for them. They started to arrive in Bulk late 1949 for the 1950 Model year. Regent Motors got a few in the 06101300s then Grenville's Sydney, Then finally Annand and Thompson got them around vehicles 06101680ish.
Gearbox is out of a vehicle that was outside for a very long time and would need to be totally rebuilt. You can have the box I don't need it I would rather see it in a vehicle that is going to be restored / rebuilt.
If you have a look on the engine mount passenger side it should have a build number. Also if you can find your axle numbers this will give us a good idea what the orgional gearbox and engines were numbers wise.
The engine would have been a 1600cc Core Plug engine with a square sump and the earlier type oil pump.

Been collecting a few parts for the project, progress is slow with a young family and the vehicle is still at danlandyman place....
We have had it running briefly by pouring some fuel down the carb and tracing the no go to some leads which were on the wrong plugs. Engine seems to be in ok condition
Compression test before firing
1- 130 psi
2 -100 psi
3 - 105 psi
4 - 100psi
Carb and fuel pump have been rebuilt.
Here are some photos of the date stamp of one of the rims. They are 6/51 and 7/51. Another part not original.... At least they are period correct.....
I need to straighten them since they both have a small bend in them.
And de rust them
Nice find.
I see it has later hood bows also, as the early ones were flat on top.

Tomo thats a cracker!,
I agree with the get it running, tidy it up but keep the character of the patina. (maybe retouch the painted landy emblems front and back?
It looks straight and pretty unmolested, the squares out of the grille and the "chip" from above the rear cross member are character, its 65 years old after all!
Mechanically, most people wont know, so who cares,
but wouldnt it be great to fix/replace whatever can be done without too much stress especially if you can fit back to a ringpull box...
great vehicle mate, and I reckon youd be able to get some good advice from the vehicles current "landlord" too!
cheers
