    Painted numbers on engine

    Any ideas?

    I think the consensus is that the numbers are factory batch numbers of some sort and are not trackable.

    If it is a military engine I have seen references to it identifying the Base Workshop that did a rebuild.

    Other than that no idea.

    Black Knight could verify if that is the case.
